When traveling to warm areas of the world, wear
cotton. |
Shipboard dress is casual during the day. Shorts are not allowed in the main dining room. At dinner, dress codes will vary daily, as indicated on your onboard daily information. Casual: Dressy Casual, such
as slacks and sport shirt for men (no jeans), slacks and blouses,
sundress or pantsuit for women. 7 day cruises have 2 formal nights, 2nd night out is the "Captain's Welcome Aboard" Cocktail Party and Dinner, and the 5th night out is the "Farewell Dinner". Both of these special nights are formal. 10 day cruises have 3 formal nights,. Please note that for men, a dark suit and tie is acceptable attire on even the most luxurious ships. Dress comfortably for shore excursions and during the day onboard your cruise. Take good walking shoes. When traveling in the Caribbean, wear cotton. Bring a light cotton sweater or very light jacket, if you have a tendency to be cold in the evenings while you walk around the deck. Alaska, dress in layers, as the weather changes often. In the evening when the ship is sailing, the outside temperatures are cooler. And, when the ship pulls in for the views of the glaciers, it is normally much cooler, so wear a jacket. I even wear gloves and earmuffs or a hat, as I get cold out on the water. I don't want to miss a thing! And, Alaska has a lot of spectacular scenery. Sun is up much longer in the summer, so enjoy the views. All other destinations, dress accordingly to the weather at the time you travel. Holidays!
